Exploring Systems Thinking: A Shared Resource List

I enrolled in a Systems Thinking course at Royal Roads University this winter. As a token of appreciation to our teacher, Jason Young, and my fellow classmates who might want to explore these topics further, I compiled a list of shared resources.

Description

A collection of resources, scholars, lectures, podcasts etc. that speak to eco-spirituality.

Sri Aurobindo was an Indian philosopher, poet, and nationalist who contributed significantly to the development of integral thinking. His philosophy emphasized the unity and interconnection of all aspects of existence, including the spiritual, psychological, and physical dimensions.

According to Dr. Bunnell, language bridges people and their roots, connecting them to their ancestral lands and heritage.

Dr. Paulo Friere, Banking Model of Education

The Banking Model of Education is a concept developed by Paulo Freire which describes the traditional method of education where students are seen as passive receptacles of knowledge deposited by the teacher.

Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures (GTDF) is an arts/research collective that uses this website as a workspace for collaborations around different kinds of artistic, pedagogical, cartographic, and relational experiments that aim to identify and de-activate colonial habits of being, and to gesture towards the possibility of decolonial futures.

A course based on the book, Hospicing Modernity.

A workshop series that aims to help individuals reconnect with their own power, each other, and the web of life, in order to take action towards a more sustainable future. Through a blend of traditional wisdom, deep ecology, and modern science, the workshop series provides a framework for personal and societal transformation.

Raffi has founded the Child Honouring Foundation, which values the wisdom of children and their ability to use imagination and insight, often overlooked in a culture that tends to overvalue only certain ways of knowledge.
